RebuildUA provides AI-powered foreign workforce recruitment services to accelerate Ukraine’s rebuild.
The foundation of RebuildUA is deeply connected to Ukraine’s recent history and the resilience of its people. On February 25, 2022, one the day after the full-scale invasion began, our co-founder Ajay, traveled from Budapest to the Hungarian border town of Záhony to support those fleeing the war from Ukraine. In coordination with the local mayor of Záhony, Mr. László Helmeczi, we established a 200+ square meter temporary shelter near the train station, which operated for several years to assist displaced individuals. We remain grateful to the mayor for sponsoring the entire installation and operational cost afterwards, as well as the local support provided by the local citizens of Záhony town.
Project "JobHelpUA": Ajay also helped to launch JobHelpUA, a mini project to help Ukrainian citizens in Hungary to find white collar jobs. For this, Ajay collaborated with a local innovative Hungarian school REAL SCHOOL in Budapest, Hungary. RebuildUA is extremely grateful to the REALSCHOOL founder Mr. Barna Barath to help us provide space in REALSCHOOL campus for organizing JobHelpUA workshops. Checkout a small documentary film below about REALSCHOOL below and the help it offered to the Ukrainian citizens and school children in Hungary . The short documentary film also has a short interview of RebuildUA founder- Ajay.
Year 2024 onwards, Ajay travelled extensively across western, central & southern Ukraine to understand its diverse culture, history, arts, architecture, historical monuments, beautiful church, mountains, rivers, flora/fauna, museum, food; and most importantly to understand resilient Ukrainian people from all walks of lives. Through direct engagement with people/business community/scientific diaspora across western, central and southern Ukrainian regions and industries; and also after attending a major reconstruction-focused expo, hosted by Kyiv Rebuild Ukraine in IEC Kyiv in February 2025, he decided to establish RebuildUA immediately, without any second thoughts.
Ukraine’s reconstruction challenge is unprecedented. According to the RDNA5 assessment report by the World Bank, EU, UN, and the Government of Ukraine, rebuilding approximately 250,000 damaged or destroyed infrastructure assets will require an estimated $588 billion. Also as per International Labor Organization ( ILO-2023) approx. 8.6 million foreign blue/gray collar workforce will be needed, in the short term, at least ( for approximately 10-20 yrs) for various reconstruction projects to restore destroyed infrastructure or to build new infrastructures ( like new Rehabilitation Centers, Trauma centers, new green energy efficient residential buildings, new transport and green energy infrastructures, underground bunkers, etc.).
On Apr 22, 2026 RebuildUA also participated Recovery Construction forum: Ukraine 3.0 forum in Kyiv. The RCF is organized by Confederation of Builders of Ukraine and it is one of the largest reconstruction event of Ukraine.
RebuildUA is committed to supporting Ukraine’s reconstruction with deep respect for its people, sovereignty, and long-term national interests. In the near term, we aim to responsibly connect global workforce capacity with Ukraine’s urgent reconstruction priorities, while fully adhering to national regulations, security requirements, and institutional frameworks.
Importantly, RebuildUA does not seek to replace the Ukrainian workforce. Our objective is to temporarily complement existing capacity where shortages are most critical, helping accelerate the delivery of essential infrastructure in line with agreed timelines, budgets, and international (EU/US) quality standards.
As reconstruction progresses, our approach remains firmly aligned with Ukraine’s long-term recovery: to gradually transition roles back to Ukrainian citizens by supporting their reskilling and retraining. We actively support the reintegration of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and the return of Externally Displaced Persons (EDPs), as restored housing, infrastructure, and economic stability enable communities to rebuild their lives with dignity and confidence.
This approach reflects our solidarity with Ukraine, not only in rebuilding infrastructure, but in restoring opportunity, resilience, and a sustainable future led by its own people.
It is both our professional mission and a personal commitment to stand with Ukraine in its pursuit of recovery, resilience, and a stronger future, as it is marching towards EU membership.
